What is your favorite scene in CRA?

My favorite scene is when Astrid comforts Rachel after they bury the dead fish. The jealous former fiancee failed to sabotage Rachel. More importantly, that scene established the strong bond and support between Rachel and Astrid, a very crucial dynamic in the book that transitioned well into film.

Fave Nick scene: after fleeing the bachelor party, with the helicopter just randomly parked on a rock nearby, Nick and Colin having a serious discussion about Rachel while gloriously shirtless and framed by morning sunlight.

Fave Rachel scene: The mahjong scene. Chills all the way through. (Runner-up: Peik Lin and Oliver play fairy godmothers to Rachel.)

My favorite scene is at the end of the movie when Rachel serves Nick's mom a good dose of reality. And the look Rachel's mom gave her was the best. She was there for her daughter, letting that woman know that try as she might, she couldn't break either one of them.

Question: Who is that guy at the very end of the movie that smiled at Astrid. I feel like I've seen him before. He is a hottie.

How does the book compare to the movie?

Well, I wish there was a mention about how this wealthy lifestyle is built on the backs of the working class. It was an enjoyable movie once I managed to forget the history of Singapore and how exactly a lot of the Chinese got rich there.

It could've easily been rectified if the movie adapters changed it from Singapore to China. I know a lot of fans would be upset about it, but I think it would make things a lot less yikes

I wonder why it didn't do well in China?

I don't know man, I am obviously not knowledgeable in this area.
